Sinopsis:

A personal and powerful essay from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the bestselling author of Americanah and Half of a Yellow Sun.

‘I would like to ask that we begin to dream about and plan for a different world. A fairer world. A world of happier men and happier women who are truer to themselves. And this is how to start: we must raise our daughters differently. We must also raise our sons differently…’
Personal opinion:
This essay is also recorded in a conference which has the same name that the book.
I've watched the conference and I've read the book, and the two things have made in me a new expectation of gender. Chimamanda is a brave and powerful woman who teachs people which is the truly meaning of the word feminist. She tells us her experiences and her reflexions.
She shows to the world that women and men are different, but they have to be respected in the same way, that they have to have the same rights and the same oppotunities. Chimamanda helps us to keep the eyes open to the chauvism, to say NO if we want to deny something.
Conclusion:
Everybody has to read this amazing book. Everybody has to know who Chimamanda is and how powerful can women be.
I recommend it a lot because it's short and it's incredible.
Score:
10/10
