He told his live to Nick; he was son of a rich dead family in San Francisco, then he went to Oxford where he was educated. He travelled around Europe and spent lots of money to forget something bad; also he was in the War and won some medals.
At the café Nick met Mr Meyer Wolfsheim a Gastby's friend (he was well-known in Broadway because he was a criminal).
Later Nick saw Tom and talked to him (he was angry due to Nick didn't answer Daisy calls), but Gatsby had already left.

Chapter 5: Daisy and Gatsby: Start of the dream

Jordan (bridesmaid in Tom's wedding) told Nick that Daisy hangued out with Gatsby five years before. She used to hang out with a lot of officers but she fell in love with him. Unfortunetly he had to leave and she got married with Tom. Before the wedding day Jordan found Daisy completely drunk with a letter in her hand and the collar's Tom on the floor. She and Daisy's mother maid took her into a cold bath; the next day she seemed happy so the wedding went on and they went on their honeymoon. A week later Tom and a girl crashed the car and the story got into the papers.
In April Daisy had a child (girl).
Gatsby celebrated all these parties because he had hope to see her again (he stood every night looking that green light because he could see Daisy's house); here is the favour he want from Nick, he had to invite Daisy to drink tea.

After the Gatsby's parties had ended, he sent his servants away because Daisy visited him every afternoon. One day they all went to Daisy's house to have dinner and Tom realised that his wife was in love with other man. They decided to go out with the cars and Tom stopped at Wilson's garage to buy some gas. There George told him that they will leave the place, so Tom was losing his wife and mistress as the same time. They went to a hotel to have a drink but there they had an argument and Daisy said to Tom that she didn't love him in these moment, she was in love with Jay; but this didn't mean that she did never love Tom. He said bad things about Gatsby (he had killed a man) so Daisy seemed sad.
